In a recent Facebook post today, Grande Prairie Police Service Commissioner Tim Burnham of the Grande Prairie Police Commission officially swore in the second superintendent of the Grande Prairie Police Service, Superintendent Greg Redl.

Superintendent Redl comes to the GPPS following a 21-year career with the RCMP, finishing in the City of Grande Prairie as an Inspector.

Redl will oversee the Service & Community Support Branch, including recruiting, training, Community Peace Officers, detachment municipal employees, IT, fleet, uniforms, equipment, and the policing portion of the future integrated dispatch centre.
