The Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) announced today (Jan. 28) that there has been a another positive COVID-19 case found in an individual from Beaverlodge Regional High School (BRHS).   

The first case was announced on Monday and was last at school on Jan. 21.  

The latest person was last at school on Friday, Jan. 22. All BRHS families and staff received the information today.   

The identified close contacts must isolate at home until: 

  • Friday, Feb. 5, for those identified as being within close contact of the case on Jan. 21. 
  • Saturday, Feb. 6, for those identified as being within close contact of the case on Jan. 22.   

Remote learning opportunities will be provided for the students who have to isolate.  

Necessary measures are being taken to prevent spread to staff and students. Disinfection of the school has taken place. Anyone who has not been identified as a close contact will still be able to attend school in-person on Mon. Feb. 1, as there is no school for students tomorrow due to the scheduled staff professional learning day.
