The Rotary Dream Home Lottery will celebrate 30 years in 2023, and already has a lot and builder.

The 2023 home builder will be Unique Home Concepts for their second Dream Home build. Kelly Newbury is a designer and part owner of Unique Home Concepts, a builder who specializes in both spec and custom builds of all sizes, as well as large residential and commercial renovations.  She says her team at Unique is pleased to be a part of the Dream Home for another year. “We were thrilled that though the public weren’t able to tour our last Dream Home, the 2021 fundraiser was still a huge success in raising money for The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie during what was a very difficult time for the non-profit community groups they support. And we are extremely excited this time around, to finally get to show Grande Prairie and area the detail and attention our team gives every project…and this time, LIVE and in person! In partnership with Rotary, we are determined to make this 30th home one that everyone will be dreaming about! What an honour to be able to do what we love, and at the same time support the community we love!” The 2023 Dream Home will be different from the year prior.  Newbury says “I would describe the home as a thoughtfully planned, skillfully built, and carefully finished, one-of-a-kind, character home. Natural stone and wood touches merge with striking dark features and glass accents, creating a sophisticated, timeless, and Unique space”.

The 2023 Dream Home is already under way in Taylor Estates. Rhonda Side, with Taylor Estates, says “Participating in the Rotary Dream Home Lottery is a small way we can contribute to the great work Rotary Clubs do in the community.   We are proud to be a part of Dream Home Lottery and believe Taylor Estates is the perfect place to make dreams come true.  A beautiful setting, a deep sense of community, and a Dream Home?  What more could you ask for.  It’s hard to believe this year will be the 30th annual.  It’s a testament to the extraordinary people of this region.  Amazing.  We look forward to welcoming the entire region back to Taylor Estates and are honored to be able to do so in partnership with the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie.”

Raffle Manager Melissa Coulombe says 2023 will mark the 30th Dream Home built in Grande Prairie.   “We’re going mark the occasion with some special ticket packages and special prizing as well. 2022 was another success ticket sales wise between the three lotteries and dollars raised for our community.  We’re excited to continue the momentum into the fundraiser’s 30th year.”

President of the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie is Bruce Tattrie, who says the club is excited to see the 30th annual event un-fold.  “Many of us were around when the first home opened, it was pretty exciting in those days, a major event for our community, it still is, and Rotary is proud to be a part of this fundraising event.”

The home is far enough along that windows are in and the interior work is well underway.

Tickets will go on sale in December.
