On June 26, road work begins in the Vision West Business Park area including a full-depth reclamation of the road.

The work occurs on:

  • 97 Avenue between 120 Street and 124 Street, and
  • 120 Street between 97 Avenue and 100 Avenue.

Full-depth reclamation includes breaking apart the existing road pavement, recycling some materials, and mixing them into the road's lower levels and base structure. Cement and foamed asphalt are mixed into the structure and compacted. Once this is complete, a new asphalt pavement structure is laid on top.

In addition to the full-depth reclamation, the work includes some concrete and storm sewer repairs, line painting and landscaping.

Traffic is restricted to a single lane and the speed limit is reduced to 30 km/hour during construction. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution, watch for flag people and anticipate potential traffic delays.

Pedestrian access is expected to be maintained along sidewalks and all traffic detours will be marked.

It is anticipated that crews will operate from Monday to Saturday with work expected to be complete by mid-July.
