The Fort St. John Salvation Army is gearing up for the 2023 Christmas Kettle Campaign and they’re looking for volunteers. The annual campaign is their biggest fundraising initiative throughout the year and is critical in helping people who are struggling in the community.
Stations will be set up at many of the same locations this year, and the sign-up process to volunteer is very easy.
Executive Director Jared Braun says, “We’re trying to make the opportunity as simple as possible. We have a really straightforward online platform that people can use to sign up, which will allow them to choose the location, the date, and time that works best for them.”
The opportunity to volunteer is open to anyone of any age. “We love seeing families come out with children. So much of it’s not just the raising funds, it’s the opportunity to share the love and joy of the Christmas season with the community.”
If you would like to volunteer this Christmas season and help people in a really tangible way, visit safsj.org, or call 250-785-0506.
