Join the Grande Prairie Public Library for a New Year’s celebration with a twist.

They moved the clock forward for families to celebrate New Year’s Eve at noon.

“It’s a long night for most little ones,” says Erika Stamp, Children’s Program Coordinator. “They want to stay up to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but often don’t quite make it.” Noon Year’s Eve will be a full 12 hours before the traditional New Year’s Eve. “It’s a celebration that works for the whole family,” says Stamp.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their favourite party attire. Noon Year’s Eve will feature a traditional New Year’s celebration with some added surprises.

“We’ll have noisemakers and bubbly drinks, crafts, music and a balloon drop,” explains Stamp. “We’d like to thank Party City for helping us with decorations and sponsoring this event.”

Registration is not required for Noon Year’s Eve.

“We’d love to see everyone at GPPL with their families,” says Stamp. “All ages are welcome.” Noon Year’s Eve will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 31.
