A two-week round of residential snow removal has been initiated and will begin on Monday, November 19 in the neighbourhoods of VLA / Montrose, Mountview (including Summit), Hillside, Crystal Heights, Ivy Lake, and Crystal Landing
Residential snow removal occurs in two-week rotations initiated by the City with consideration of snow accumulations and upcoming weather conditions. It is completed by contracted snow removal crews from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Residential snow removal takes place in neighbourhoods on the day before garbage pick-up day. If a neighbourhood is not completed in week one of the rotation, crews will return in week two to complete the area.
If your garbage pick-up day is Monday, snow removal crews will be in your neighbourhood on Friday.
Parking Bans
A parking ban on priority 1 and 2 routes is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 19. The parking ban is in effect from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
