The Peace Region Independent Media Arts Association (PRIMAA) has launched the Peace Region’s first cell phone filmmaking challenge. It started Oct. 23 and goes until Nov. 2.

The Pocket Frantic film challenge is open to all ages and skill levels. Teams have until Nov. 2 to create a two to six-minute film, produced in the Peace Country. Even though the challenge has already begun, registration is open until Oct. 29.

PRIMAA would like everyone participating to do so safely, so your film crew should only be people in your cohort.

Prizes include $100 for the Audience choice, $50 for best use of line, $50 for best use of prop, $50 for best use of genre and $50 for best use of character.

Teams are also encouraged to share their behind the scenes (BTS) photos using the hashtag #PocketFrantic2020. PRIMAA will share the photos on Facebook and Instagram and the two teams who post the most BTS photos will win two Keep Alberta Rolling t-shirts and stickers.
