Construction work starts, Tuesday June 15, on Range Road 53 from Township Road 712 north to Township Road 714.

This work involves digging out an existing road structure to re-align level or widen the road and building a new road from the bottom up.

Work is expected to finish by the end of July, weather dependent.

Traffic may experience moderate delays over the duration of the project (see maps attached). Speed will be reduced in the construction zones. As well, traffic may be reduced to a single alternating lane, be temporarily detoured or have rough non-gravel driving surfaces. Motorists are advised to obey all signs, flag persons, exercise extreme caution when travelling through the site and near crews and equipment and allow extra time for travel.

Construction work also started today in the road right of way on Township Road 714 from Carriage Lane Drive to Range Road 53. This work involves the extension of the sanitary sewer system and water distribution system. Work is expected to finish by the end of August, weather dependant.

Traffic may experience minor delays as signage will be in place and temporary lane restrictions may be in place (see maps attached).

The County is investing a total of $50.1 million in new capital road and bridge projects this year. Planned construction includes 57 km of road surfacing including the paving of gravel roads, surfaced road overlays, and re-construction.
