Rainfall warnings are in effect for the entire Peace Country including Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.

Heavy rain will bring up to 70 mm for parts of west-central Alberta by Monday. Further rainfall of 25 to 45 mm is expected in NE British Columbia with the higher amounts occurring near the Rockies.

Scattered showers will transition to widespread rain and spread southeastwards through the day today. The heaviest rain will fall Sunday afternoon and night bringing 40 to 50 mm total by Monday morning.

Higher rainfall amounts are possible in areas that see thunderstorms this afternoon and evening,

Heavy rain will begin to taper off from the northwest Monday afternoon.
