The Peace Wapiti Public School District (PWPSD) has launched home learnin plans for students this week.

These are in line with the Government of Alberta's guidelines. Teachers delivered the course material for this week yesterday afternoon (March 24).

Where online learning is unavailable, schools will offer accommodations such as course packages and telephone check-ins. Parents wishing to contact teachers for learning support may do so during 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on regular school days. PWPSD will continue to observe all non-operational days and holidays outlined in the 2019-2020 school year calendar.

Schools will begin to work on reimbursing fees on a pro-rated basis in the coming weeks. Families should wait for a call or email from their school regarding the process and instructions to complete fees reimbursement transactions.

All PWPSD school playgrounds closed indefinitely, as of the prohibition made by the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership on March 20.

Teachers and staff continue to work at the schools, although some may being working from home.
