Boris Johnson is vowing to stand with persecuted Christians during Christmas so they do not have to celebrate in secret.

The UK prime minister wants to help change the circumstances of persecuted Christians during Christmas. He is bringing awareness to the many families that will be celebrating Christmas in secret.

"For them, Christmas Day will be marked in private, in secret, perhaps even in a prison cell."

In the annual government Christmas message, Prime Minister Johnson announced a vow to stand with them. "For them, Christmas Day will be marked in private, in secret, perhaps even in a prison cell," Prime Minister Johnson says. "As Prime Minister, that's something I want to change."

The UK prime minister believes that Christians everywhere should have the right to practice their faith and announced that he will be implementing recommendations the Foreign Office received in regard to persecution.
