In the afternoon of April 4th, 2019, Peace Regional R.C.M.P. were dispatched to the Harmon Valley area in Northern Sunrise County, Alberta, for a report of a male who had been observed stealing gas from a rural property.  The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle at a high rate of speed, shortly after being confronted by the property owner, clipping the complainant's vehicle as he fled.

A short time later, police located the suspect vehicle and the occupant.  As a result of the ensuing investigation, Anthony Aaron Roshuk, a 31 year old resident of the Nampa area, has been charged with several criminal offences, including:
  • Theft under $5000
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Failure to stop at the scene of an accident
  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Failing to comply with conditions of his recognizance
Roshuk remains in custody at this time and is next scheduled to appear on these matters in Peace River provincial court, on April 29th, 2019.  Police would like to thank residents for their vigilance in reporting suspicious activity.
