Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a home invasion to a residence in the area of 99 Street in Peace River on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 3:09 p.m. 

Upon being confronted, the suspect left the home. Witnesses were able to maintain a visual of the suspect until he was located by police near the downtown area.

Hector Whitehead (50), a resident of Peace River, was arrested and charged with:

  • Break and Enter to a Residence
  • Theft over $5000
  • Assault

Whitehead was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released with conditions to appear at Peace River Provincial Court on April 3, 2023.
