Another edition of Canada's Farm Show at REAL (Regina Exhibition Association Ltd ) District is officially in the books.

Exhibitors have started pulling out equipment after what organizers say was a very successful event.

Kirk Westgard, the new Vice-President of Agriculture for REAL says attendance and interest in the show was outstanding with the first day attendance totals up 18 per cent from 2019 levels.

"Not only am I happy, we talked to a lot of the exhibitors and they seem very happy with what's going on. I think we have a setup now, going all indoors, that's gonna have something for us to build on and move forward with."

The tear down is underway as exhibitors continue to pull out equipment and take it home.

For anyone involved in the agriculture industry Canada's Farm Show is a key place for doing business.

This year, visitors and buyers from over 55 countries took part in the event to see the latest in farm equipment and technology.

He said there's been a ton of business happening at the show with a lot of closed door meetings that will likely turn into sales.

Officials believe sales for the week will be on par with the $100 - $300 million in sales that we generally see at the show.

The crew at REAL is crunching the numbers, reviewing sales information and attendance numbers with plans to release official numbers next week.

Westgard says as this years event comes to a close they are looking at what they can do for 2023.

"We always have plans to do better and continually increase and try and improve on what we're doing. We've got this layout and this show that we're going to continue to move forward with, it's great."

The 2022 show marked the first in person event for Canada's Farm Show since 2019.
