This past weekend, St. Joseph Catholic Church had a reverse drive-thru food drive for the Grande Prairie food back, and it was a great success.

They were hoping to fill a trailer with non-perishable food, but organizer Beatriz Breuls says cars did not stop coming from 9:30 until noon, and they ended up filling up not only the trailer but 10 truck loads as well.

“The community responded in a fantastic way, some schools even created their own challenge and delivered trucks full of bags and boxes. What a blessing!”

On Saturday, Oct. 3, for a couple of hours in the morning, people could drive to the church parking lot to drop off items for the food bank. COVID-safe volunteers grabbed their items, and the church delivered them to the food bank.
