Today Alberta is reporting 160 new cases of COVID-19 from 16,187 tests. 

There’s been 137 new recoveries for a total of 16,072, leaving 1,571 active cases. 

One new death was reported in the province today, and the total is 266. Hospitalizations have remained steady, with 63 people in the hospital with 13 of these in intensive care, two less than yesterday.  

One new case was found in the City, bringing the active total to three. There was no change in the County, leaving 11 active with 49 recoveries.  

All outbreaks in Grande Prairie have been declared over. There had been outbreaks in one unit at the QUEII Hospital, Prairie Lakes Seniors Facility, Heritage Lodge and a group home run by Signature Support Services. Outbreaks are declared over when four weeks have passed with no new cases.

The County of Northern Lights and the MD of Peace saw recoveries and there are now no active cases left in the MD of Peace. There’s only one left in the County of Northern Lights. 

Mackenzie County reported nine new cases of the virus and eight people recovered.
