Brady Roberts, a second-year Business Administration student at Northwestern Polytechnic, has been awarded the 2023 County of Grande Prairie $500 Ron Pfau Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was presented during today’s Committee of the Whole Meeting.

Roberts, a 20-year-old resident of Grande Prairie and graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School, emerged as the ideal candidate for this scholarship. Brady's academic journey has been marked by dedication and outstanding performance both in the classroom and out in the community.

“Receiving this scholarship marks a significant milestone in my academic journey," says Roberts.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Brady has actively contributed to his community, working as a summer student at the Grande Spirit Foundation, a not-for-profit organization providing affordable housing to low-income families and seniors.

The County offers the $500 scholarship annually in memory of long-time County Administrator Ron Pfau to a current or former County resident who is pursuing post-secondary studies in Alberta and whose parents/guardians still reside in the municipality.
