The Canada Border Services Agency has sent out a reminder that now Is not the time for social gatherings.

Restrictions are in place on all non-essential travel for foreign nationals, including U.S. citizens and residents, and Canadians who are planning to cross the border.

The Canadian and American Governments closed the border to all non-essential travel Thursday, March 21 in response to the spread of COVID-19.

It means travel across the border for things like tourism and recreation, are not permitted.

Canadians are reminded if they return to Canada from any foreign destination, they must quarantine (self-isolate) for 14 days, which means no social gatherings or shopping upon their return.
