The province has added 652 new cases of COVID-19 today (Jan. 12), from 9,336 tests completed, for a positivity rate of 6.8%. 

Right now, 13,220 cases are active in the province. With 1,311 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 98,178. 

There’s 819 people in the hospital with the virus, with 132 of these in intensive care. This is eight more than reported yesterday, and two more ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 68 people in the hospital with eight of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported 38 more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,345 since the start of the pandemic.  

In the City of Grande Prairie, seven new cases were added, and nine people recovered. The active total is 157 with 759 recoveries. 

In the County of Grande Prairie, five cases were added, and two people recovered. There’s now 44 active cases and 233 recoveries.
