Starting Saturday, November 26, updates are being implemented to transit routes and schedules to improve connectivity and schedule reliability.

The updates are being made to the Transit Redesign introduced earlier this year based on customer feedback and system data.

Updates coming into effect include:

  • Introduction of Route 9 in Countryside South to replace On-Demand zone
  • Implementation of On-Demand service in Riverstone
  • A minor route adjustment on Route 6 enabling fixed route service to Crystal Ridge from the Prairie Mall
  • Adjustments to which buses switch routes to better match travel patterns

In addition, the full schedule has been revised, moving from 30 to 40 minutes per trip on all routes. This includes a 5-minute recovery on each trip to assist in keeping the system on time during variable situations such as construction and winter weather conditions.

The aim of these updates is to enhance transit services by improving scheduling reliability and increasing service to high-demand areas. The City thanks all transit riders for providing feedback on the Transit Redesign since its implementation to help with continuous improvement.
