The City of Grande Prairie is switching power to new traffic signals at three locations.

The new signals have been installed to improve safety for residents and visitors by replacing old infrastructure.

The switch to new signals occurs at the following dates and locations, weather permitting:

During the switch to new traffic signals, the existing signals will be turned off resulting in temporary traffic controls. Each intersection will have different temporary traffic controls, such as a 4-way stop, while crews connect power to the new infrastructure.

The work will be completed during off-peak hours from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to minimize disruption.

Drivers are advised to be aware of the temporary traffic control changes at these intersections during the installation period.
