Alberta Health confirmed 67 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday (March 26), bringing the province total to 486.

Up to 34 of these may be due to community transmission. Of the total cases, 21 are currently hospitalized, including 10 admitted to intensive care units.

1 case has been confirmed in the Valleyview region and 1 in the Peace River region.

There are currently 3 in the Grande Prairie region and 5 in the High Prairie region.

If Albertans call the Mental Health Help Line at 1-877-303-2642 or the Addiction Help Line at 1-866-332-2323 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week, they will be connected directly to a dedicated team of AHS addiction and mental health staff.

Albertans can also text COVID19Hope to 393939 to subscribe to “Text 4 Hope”, a free text-based program that has been put in place to help ease any anxiety and stress that people may be feeling surrounding COVID-19.

Subscribers will receive daily text messages on healthy thinking or actions to help manage their mood.

The most important measure that Albertans can take to prevent COVID-19 continues to be the practise of good hygiene.
