An NBA player has launched a new clothing line that he hopes will bring people together around stylish, high-quality apparel that champions faith, family, and freedom.

Jonathan Issac, a forward for the Orlando Magic, made headlines in July  2020 when he decided not to kneel for the national anthem amid a league-wide demonstration in support of Black Lives Matter.

Knowing God as the only answer to the world’s pain and division, he wrote the national bestseller, “Why I Stand.”

Now, Issac has launched his own apparel company called UNITUS in hopes of bringing people together over a love of God and country.

"UNITIS is a sports and apparel company, and the basis of it is freedom," said Jonathan. "You have companies that are in that field who have made a conscious decision either to attack or undermine Christian values, and I think they have the free choice to do so, as much as I disagree, but I feel that we also have the freedom to create what we want to create."

Jonathan hopes he can sign athletes across all different sports and create a real infrastructure for people who are in the sports world. He'd also like to support parents who want to buy their children sneakers and clothes but want to give their money to a company that they know is going to work toward bolstering their values.

"We can be proud of who we believe in. We don't have to hide or be ashamed of it," Issac explained. "As the days get darker and darker and crazier and crazier, you standing up for what you believe in is only going to get harder, but it's only going to become more and more necessary."

UNITUS was launched on July 30, 2023, in Orlando, Florida, featuring a fashion show and a live performance by Christian artist Tauren Wells.
