Friday, May 22, 2020 will be the official re-opening of the Mission Thrift Store. Like most other businesses, the non-denominational Christian organization had to shut its doors early this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The used goods store will open to the public tomorrow from 12pm - 4pm, with safety protocols in place, and a new limit on how many people can enter the store at one time.

Robbi King, Store Manager says, "I've found it really hard", King shared that the closure has had a big impact on the store in the way of not being in contact with their regular customers, and those in the community.

Anyone making donations will also have some new guidelines to follow. Donations are being accepted on Monday's and Thursday's from 12pm - 3:30pm, by appointment only. The facility is currently lacking storage space, and needs to quarantine all items for a minimum of 72 hours. The amount of time in-between drop offs allows staff time to safely get items onto the sales floor.

King says they also ask that all houseware donations be boxed with a lid and clothing items, linens, purses, or shoes be in a tied plastic garbage bag upon arrival.

King is grateful to everyone who has dropped off donations already, she says, "It's been so amazing, everybody has been so understanding".
