This week, crews begin milling at 108 Street and 100 Avenue intersection from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The work is being completed to remedy deficiencies identified during the initial inspection of the pavement project in 2020. Inspections on contracted work are a standard practice to ensure contracted companies meet City specifications related to public infrastructure design and construction. This work is being completed by the contractor at no extra cost to the City of Grande Prairie.

After the milling has been completed, paving and line painting work begin shortly after.

Traffic is restricted but maintained, and the speed limit is reduced to 50 km/hour during construction. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution, watch for flag people and anticipate potential traffic delays.

The work is anticipated to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.
