The County of Grande Prairie is conducting an electoral boundary review, a requirement of the Provincial government following the dissolution of Hythe. This review will be completed before the 2025 municipal election.

Electoral boundaries are geographic areas represented by councillors elected by residents of each respective division. Currently, the County is divided into nine electoral divisions, each represented by a single councillor.

In 2021, the Village of Hythe was dissolved and became part of the County as a hamlet within Division 7.

While this review may not result in any electoral boundary adjustments, it is important to understand whether residents feel they are represented equitably, especially as the population changes.

Your voice is important in this process. An online survey will be available until June 23, and the County wants to hear from you.
