After suffering a brain aneurysm six weeks ago, Mac Powell’s wife is home from the hospital.

The Third Day singer reported in an online post that his wife, Aimee, has made significant progress since the aneurysm and subsequent stroke.

“Aimee is doing great and we are so blessed that she was home for Christmas,” the singer wrote. “We enjoyed the holidays with our children, family, and friends. What a great time to reflect on the miracle that God performed in Aimee!”

So many have asked for an update. Here ya go: Today marks six weeks since my wife Aimee woke up having a brain aneurysm which led to a hemorrhagic stroke. She spent 14 days in the hospital. Aimee is doing great and we are so blessed that she was home for Christmas. We enjoyed the holidays with our children, family, and friends. What a great time to reflect on the miracle that God performed in Aimee! Headaches have been a new normal for her but she is continuing to heal and feel better each day. We will never be able to express our thanks and gratitude for all your prayers and love. We know that Aimee is here because of God, His plan for her life, and because of the prayers of the Saints all around the world! She’s been able to slowly get back to her normal mama routines like visiting colleges, seeing plays and basketball games, and getting in some snuggle time. Aimee is so incredibly grateful to be here with all of us. We go to a follow-up doctor visit on Tuesday. We hope and expect to get a great report. Thank you again for your continued prayers. To God be the glory!

Powell goes on to give a more detailed update on Aimee, who spent two weeks in hospital.

“Headaches have been a new normal for her but she is continuing to heal and feel better each day,” says Powell.

“She’s been able to slowly get back to her normal mama routines like visiting colleagues, seeing plays and basketball games, and getting in some snuggle time.”

On Nov, 30, 2019, Aimee was admitted to hospital after experiencing pain she believed was a terrible headache. Through a CT scan, doctors were able to diagnose a bleed in her brain.

After undergoing a procedure where coils were inserted into her brain, doctors were able to stop the bleed.

Powell thanked those who have prayed for Aimee and their family throughout this difficult time and gave credit to God for her recovery.

“We will never be able to express our thanks and gratitude for all your prayers and love. We know that Aimee is here because of God, His plan for her life, and because of the prayers of the Saints around the world,” Powell shared.

Aimee is expected to see a doctor Tuesday for a follow-up appointment on her condition, Powell says.
