If you're 55 plus and enjoy reading out loud, the Grande Prairie senior readers group could be for you. Seniors' Readers' Theatre is a volunteer project of Studio 50+ Adults Grande Prairie.  They organize presentations at various places such as Seniors Lodges, Adult Day Programs, schools, etc.

The group promotes speaking aloud, reading, drama, and socializing.  Seniors Readers Theatre also likes to recognize cultures and the history of Grande Prairie and area.  Presentation topics are quite varied and are designed according to members' desires. Some themes could be history, sports, poetry, emotions, life and death, travel, art, families, and friends, Although the focus is on older adults, they encourage intergenerational participation.

Cliff Mitchell from the Readers' Theatre group said, "It's a bit like a radio play, people reading a script out loud and the audience picturing the action."
