Our local schools and colleges are taking steps to protect students and staff from the spread of COVID-19 by cancelling classes.

This is in line with the new directive issued yesterday by Alberta Health Services.

Both Peace River Bible Institute (PRBI) and Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) have suspended in-person classes and are transitioning to finish the semester with online courses. PRBI students will be going home.

The GPRC campus will remain open, but with limited access. The fitness centres at the Grande Prairie and Fairview facilities will be closed, along with the climbing gym, daycare facilities, Fine Arts Conservatory, and food service. The libraries on both campuses remain open, along with residencies. Many events on campus events have been cancelled.
