The well-known Christian worship band Hillsong UNITED out of Australia has lead singer, Taya Smith-Gaukrodger, branching out with a solo album.

Going by just her first name on this new project, TAYA released her first single today, 'For All My Life.'

"For the past 2 years I’ve been working on this, my debut album, self-titled intentionally," says TAYA on Facebook. "Some people may know my voice but for the first time ever I get to share with you in my own words and my own melodies, who Jesus is to me."

TAYA's musical career started in the year 2010 when she moved to Sydney. She came across Hillsong Church's City Campus and decided to volunteer in the church creative team and in the youth and young adult departments.

TAYA has performed with Hillsong UNITED around the world, including in Isreal when she performed 'Oceans' to an outdoor crowd on December 26, 2018.

"My prayer is that you’d come to know Jesus in a whole new way like I did whilst creating this — He is the God who speaks — may you hear His voice louder than mine."

The self-titled album has 14 tracks on it and will be released on May 27.
