Christian singer Lauren Daigle knocked pop superstars Maroon 5 off the No. 1 spot for Billboard's Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart this week.

Daigle's single 'You Say' hit No. 1 on the Christian radio charts in September, and spent 17 weeks there. Since last year she's been gaining more and more attention on mainstream radio and is now enjoying crossover success.

Maroon 5's single 'Girls Like You' had been at No. 1 for 33 weeks.

Daigle's album Look Up Child set a record in July for the longest-reigning album at No. 1 of the Christian album charts. It beat out Switchfoot's The Beautiful Letdown, which had spent 38 weeks at No. 1 in 2004-05. Look Up Child has now been at No. 1 for 42 weeks.
