Lauren Daigle founded a non-profit called The Price Fund and in collaboration with her music this year, she was able to give back $681,000 to community charities.
Last week Daigle performed a Christmas concert to a sold-out show at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre.
During the performance, she made the announcement that $100,000 from her fund would be going to New Orleans’ Ellis Marsalis Center, Roots of Music, NOCCA, KidSmart, and Young Audiences of Louisiana. This wraps up her season of fall giving.
"I’m truly moved and inspired by the passion and commitment that I’ve seen from every single person involved with all of these organizations – not to mention the tireless and seemingly endless work done by their volunteers," says Daigle on stage.
The Christian artist took the time during her performance to highlight the importance of everyone being able to share their musical talents, from young and old alike.
"The thousands whose lives they touch each and every day, not only provides light and hope for so many in need, it sets an example for all of us to follow and shows us what we do mean to each other."
This year Daigle also gave big donations to Roots Music, Country Music Hall of Fame’s Words & Music, and Notes for Notes at her holiday concerts at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium as well as 42Strong, Colorado Healing Fund, Music Health Alliance, Agape School and Greater Good Music.
Since starting The Price Fund, Daigle has received and distributed $2.2 million to 37 nonprofits around the world. This is done through ticket sales, merch, and people streaming her music.
