Alberta is once again back in the Conservative fold. The United Conservative Party under leader Jason Kenney has won a majority government in the Alberta election. NDP Leader Rachel Notley retained her seat of Edmonton-Strathcona, but several former N-D-P cabinet ministers have gone down in defeat. Meantime, the Alberta Liberals will not have a member in the legislature for the first time in 30 years. The Alberta Party increased its popular vote percentage in this election, but did not win a seat.  (Canadian Press)
