Just before 2am this morning, the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a report of a home on fire in the Ivy Lake neighbourhood.

Upon arrival, smoke and flames were visible as the fire had already engulfed the garage.

Fire crews worked on scene for hours to extinguish the fire and protect surrounding homes.

There were no injuries during this incident however 3 occupants were displaced.

The cause of this fire is currently unknown, and a full investigation will be completed today.
