"No matter how far you feel you are from God, it's never too late to come back to Him," says 1K Phew, a rapper working with Lecrae on new music.

It was a surprise for fans when on Tuesday, Lecrae dropped the album cover for No Church In A While which he is partnering up with a young artist for, 1K Phew.

"We making the good news sound good," said Lecrae on Instagram.

The pair released their first single from the album on Wednesday, called 'Wildin.'

"I see the beauty in the megachurch pastor and the beauty in somebody meeting at the house," says Lecrae on Facebook. "I'm not mad at it, I'm mad when you made it mandatory."

The idea for the new album came from the idea of what church really means.

"When you say 'I got to go to the mega-church or I'm in sin,' or 'If you're not meeting in a small house, you're not doing it right,' I'm not with that. Everybody has issues but everybody also has something to offer."

The Christian hip/hop and rap artist has released three albums called Church Clothes 1, 2 and 3 in the past.

"I began to realize no one was consistently going to church. It made me say, why am I doing a project called Church Clothes when ain't nobody been to church in a minute?"

1K Phew is a 22-year-old rapper that started releasing music in the past three years. At 42, Lecrae has taken him under his wing.

"This is really for everybody who ain't been to church in a while," says 1K Phew.

No Church In A While will be available in full on Friday, December 3.
