A former member of pop group the Pussycat Dolls is celebrating new life in Christ and encouraging her followers to follow Him as well.

Kaya Jones shared in a social media post last month that after years of "(serving) myself" she made the decision to begin serving God.

Jones was just 16 when she was signed to Capitol Records as a solo act. A year later she joined the famous all-girl group known for their racy songs and outfits.

However, she says, when she was 16 she had also watched televangelists that "sowed a seed ... I knew I wasn’t following God’s plan for me. Much damage & pain has come," she says as a result of living a life not following God.

She was baptized at the end of May, and in the social media post, she writes that "I’m finally now serving the Lord. God writes the most incredible outcomes."

Hundreds of people have commented on her post, thanking Jones for sharing her testimony. Jones tells her followers that nothing she has experienced in achieving stardom compares to following Jesus.

"You are loved. Never too late to give your life to Him. I’ve sang (sic) with Jagger, Britney, Fergie, Katy Perry & many others. Nothing & no one compares to singing with Jesus! Nothing! Thank you for saving me! You take what the enemy meant for evil & you turn it for good!"
