The 19th annual High on Ice Winter Festival in Fort St. John is taking place February 17 – 20, 2023.

The festival features a variety of winter-themed events including professional ice carving and ice slides in Centennial Park.

There’s also a new activity this year for the kids to explore. Victoria Butler, Arts & Culture Programmer, City of Fort St. John says, “We added a new feature this year which is our little chippers wall. Staff will have carving tools and ice paint where kids will get a hands-on experience of chipping into the ice, similar to the carvers. And hopefully the carvers will be able to pop by throughout the weekend and chip with the little chippers, which is pretty exciting.”

Of course, the festival will also have food and live music, as well as a lot of other events happening within the community.

Butler says, “It's just a full weekend where the community really shows up, so we're super excited for all the little events that are going to be taking place.”
