Hythe Pioneer Homes announced yesterday (July 7) that they have two or more possible cases of COVID-19.

Test results are pending, but they are taking precautions. This includes those with symptoms self-isolating, canceling group activities, closing the hair salon and requiring residents to stay on facility property unless necessary they leave.

As part of the home’s COVID-19 response, tests of residents have been happening twice daily and staff have been assessed twice daily.

While they do label two or more cases as a probable outbreak, they say it should not be seen as a cause for alarm, but a protective measure.
