The number of coronavirus cases continues to grow in the province.

On Friday (Mar.16), Alberta Health Services launched an online self-assessment tool to help Albertans determine whether they should be tested for COVID-19.

Some of the questions on the assessment asks the person about symptoms they are experiencing, if they've had interactions with anyone who is confirmed to have the virus and if they've done any recent traveling.

If the assessment advises the user to call 811, it warns the lines may be slowed due to a high volume of calls and they will answer as soon as possible.

People who are not recommended to seek immediate help can take the assessment again if symptoms start appearing.

Travelers returning to Canada after Thursday (Mar.12) are strongly requested to self-isolate for 14 days.

Anyone returning from Italy, Iran or the Huei province of China must self-isolate, regardless of their date of travel.

Anyone experiencing symptoms of coughing, a runny nose, a fever or a sore throat are also advised to self-isolate until tested.
