In a joint initiative to elevate road safety awareness among the city's youth, the City of Grande Prairie and the Safer Roads Alliance proudly announce the return of the "How did the chicken cross the road?" Student Road Safety Contest.

With road safety as its cornerstone, the contest is open to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in the City of Grande Prairie. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity, whether through drawing, painting, photo(s), or creation of a short video. The only rule? Keep it safe and have fun doing it!

Students can submit drawings, posters, videos, or photographs, each underlining the essence of safely crossing the road.

Fabulous prizes await winners across three age categories: K-3, 4-7, and 8-12. The first prize in each category stands at $500, followed by $300 for the second, and $200 for the third.

This contest isn't just about art or winning prizes. It's an initiative to ensure that the youth of Grande Prairie have the knowledge and awareness to navigate roads safely.
