In today’s COVID-19 update, Dr. Hinshaw reported that 6587 Albertans have recovered and 344 cases are still active.

There are 48 people in the hospital with six of these in intensive care. Out of 4997 tests in the last 24 hours, there have been 19 new cases identified. There have been two new deaths.

The City of Grande Prairie is seeing *five additional cases, bring the active total to 13 with six people recovered. In the County, there is just one active case and five recovered.

Dr. Hinshaw noted that we are now in our fourth month of our COVID-19 response and we need to keep working to prevent the spread.

Staying home when sick, practicing social distance, frequent hand-washing, wearing a mask in crowded areas, and supporting each other in these continue to be our best tools for defense. They part of our new normal and will remain to be into the foreseeable future.
