Alberta has added 331 new cases of COVID-19, from about 9,500 tests completed for a positivity rate of about 3.6%.

Right now, 4,613 cases are active in the province. With 358 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 128,261.

There’s 245 people in the hospital with the virus, with 47 of these in intensive care. This is six fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and one fewer ICU admission. In the North Zone, there’s 27 people in the hospital with two of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported nine more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,911 since the start of the pandemic.

Thirty-three more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found, for a total of 541. There have been 218 found in the Calgary Zone, 203 in the Edmonton Zone, 116 in the Central Zone, four in the North Zone and zero in the South Zone.

There have now been 266,231 vaccine doses administered, with about 90,000 people fully immunized with two doses. On March 3, about 11,000 doses were administered, which is the average number expected to be given each day in March.

In the City of Grande Prairie, nine new cases were added, and 17 people recovered. The active total is 209 with 1447 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, four new cases were added today, and five people recovered. There’s now 60 active cases and 414 recoveries.
