Grande Prairie, Alberta - On Sunday September 30, 2018 Grande Prairie Rural RCMP were searching for a vehicle stolen from BC earlier in the day. Police located the vehicle stuck in a ditch on Highway 670 near Range Roads 40 and 41. The suspect had enlisted the help of local farmers to get the truck out of the ditch however, when he saw police he fled on foot through the fields.

The farmers wasted no time in assisting. One jumped in his side-by-side and transported the RCMP member through the fields where she arrested the suspect without further incident. Two others remained on scene with police providing information for the investigation.

Bradley ALMAS (19) of Edmonton had outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest and is also facing new charges including:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Mischief
  • Resist Police Officer
  • Fail to comply

ALMAS appeared in court in Grande Prairie on October 3, 2018.
