Alberta has added 669 new cases of COVID-19 today (Jan. 20), from about 14,900 tests completed, for a positivity rate of about 4.5%. 

Right now, 10,565 cases are active in the province. With 1,179 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 106,387. 

There’s 744 people in the hospital with the virus, with 124 of these in intensive care. This is four more hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and five more ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 74 people in the hospital with nine of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported 21 more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,484 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 95,243* vaccines administered. 

In the City of Grande Prairie, 19 new cases were added, and 14 people recovered. The active total is 185 with 853 recoveries. 

In the County of Grande Prairie, seven cases were added, and three people recovered. There’s now 50 active cases and 260 recoveries.
