Grande Prairie RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male involved in a shooting that occurred at a residence in Grande Prairie.

On Oct. 12, 2021, at 9:27 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of shots fired that occurred at a residence, located near Patterson Place neighborhood in Grande Prairie, AB. An unknown male attended the residence asking to speak with the victim. When the male victim approached the door, the male suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired shots at the residence after the victim shut the door. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured during this incident.

The male suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle that was parked nearby.

The male suspect is described as:

·Medium build

·Black/brown hair

·Dark complexion

.Tattoo located on his face, near an eyebrow

·Last seen wearing a black leather jacket, brown ball cap, and light coloured collared shirt

The investigation is ongoing and police believe that this was not a random act.
