Update:
Grande Prairie RCMP would like to advise that the collision scene has been cleared and motorists can resume travel in all directions on Highway 2 at Highway 672.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that thick fog and poor visibility contributed to the cause of the collision.
A total of four vehicles were involved resulting in one male being transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
No further updates are anticipated.
Grande Prairie RCMP officers are currently on the scene of a multi-vehicle collision obstructing the southbound lanes of Highway 2 at Highway 672.
RCMP are advising motorists that are travelling in the area to expect delays and to consider taking an alternate route.
