Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested a male subsequent to a dangerous driving and theft investigation.

On July 12, 2022, at approximately 7:47 a.m., Grande Prairie RCMP received a report of a theft from a residential yard in the Country Club subdivision. Residents reported that the suspect left in a brown older model pickup truck. The truck had been reported stolen on July 11 from a residence in the Crystal Landing subdivision. 

RCMP officers located the vehicle driving dangerously through the City and with the assistance of Grande Prairie Police Dog Services, were able to arrest the male driver.

Chase Glodek (18) of Grande Prairie has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 X 2
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Fail to comply with youth order X 2
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to youth order

Following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Glodek was released from custody on these matters to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Aug. 10, 2022.
