Grande Prairie, Alberta - On Thursday November 22, 2018, at approximately 3:00 PM, Grande Prairie RCMP conducted a traffic stop near 116 Avenue in Grande Prairie.  The vehicle driver was found be in possession of multiple types of prescription medication and several weapons.

The following items were seized as a result of the investigation;

  • A Firearm and ammunition.
  • Approximately 1567 pills from multiple prescription medications.
  • Various weapons; bearspray, knives and a baton (billy club).
  • $3010.00 in cash.

Trent Douglas HOCKETT (42), of Wembley, Alberta has been charged with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of Trafficking.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.
  • Fail to comply with conditions of release x 4.

Mr. HOCKETT was scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on November 26, 2018.
