UPDATE: March 28, 2024

Grande Prairie RCMP would like to advise the public that the 2021 Red Can Am Outlander 570 has been recovered following a tip from the public, for which Grande Prairie RCMP is thankful. The information obtained also allowed Grande Prairie RCMP to arrest the two individuals, who were out on warrants, in possession of the ATV. The arrests took place on March 27, 2024.

As a result of the investigation, Cole Burl Frank Posegate (36) and Ara-Bela Veronika Ross (33), both of no fixed address, were charged with Possession of stolen property over $5000 as well as being arrested on Robbery warrants.

Posegate and Ross were brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. They are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on April 10, 2024.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Grey Polaris Sportsman Touring 570 and the 2022 Black “Rainbow Trailers” Flat Deck are still unaccounted for. New footage was obtained showing the suspect vehicle used to commit the offence. The vehicle is a dark coloured pickup truck with a modified bed.

March 27, 2024

On March 26, 2024, at 10:35 a.m., Grande Prairie RCMP was advised that the Grande Prairie County Community and Enforcement Services locked compound in Clairmont was broken into. The compound stores equipment from various first responder agencies. Among the stolen items were an RCMP flat deck as well as two marked RCMP quads. No other RCMP equipment, including uniforms or use of force items, were stolen. According to video footage, the theft took place between 7:54 p.m. and 8:29 p.m. on March 25, 2024.

Listed are the specifics regarding the stolen quads, that have RCMP markings, and the flat deck:

  • 2021 Red Can Am Outlander 570, AB Licence CNM32, VIN: 3JBLMAT49MJ000656
  • 2021 Grey Polaris Sportsman Touring 570, AB Licence NKA73, VIN: 4XASDE575MA293420
  • 2022 Black “Rainbow Trailers” Flat Deck, AB Licence 6CY542, VIN: 2RGBA1426N1000110
